Solar Flood Lights Stolen from Briggins Church

A pastor in Briggins has reported the theft of two solar flood lights from his church building, prompting a police investigation.

Pastor Warrell Simon of Jennings Village, leader of the Melting Fire Tabernacle Church, told police that the lights were removed sometime between the evening of Saturday, August 9, and Friday, August 15, 2025.

According to reports, investigators believe the thieves used a ladder to climb to the face board of the building before unscrewing the lights with a tool.

A search of the immediate area for the stolen items turned up empty.

Police are continuing inquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or call the church’s pastor at 782-8899.
