Ten-year-old Kishon John has triumphantly marked the end of his chemotherapy treatment at a medical facility in Colombia, ringing the symbolic bell that signifies the conclusion of his battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma.
With tears of joy streaming down his face, Kishon celebrated the milestone surrounded by medical staff who supported him throughout his journey. The young patient also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals who guided him through his treatment.
Kishon had traveled to Colombia after being diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma several years ago. His treatment was made possible thanks to funding from Antigua and Barbuda’s Medical Benefits Scheme, the Calvin Ayre Foundation, and support from local communities.
Speaking on behalf of the family, relatives expressed deep appreciation for the generosity and assistance that enabled Kishon to receive life-saving care abroad. The family emphasized that the support of both local and international partners played a pivotal role in this moment of triumph.
Kishon’s celebration not only marks the end of a challenging treatment but also stands as a testament to the resilience of young patients and the importance of community and global support in the fight against cancer.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
God is Good, all the time! This is more than something to give God thanks and praise for!
