Their Excellencies Sir Rodney Williams, Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda, and Lady Williams recently received a courtesy call from a visiting delegation from the South China University of Technology.
The team, led by Professor Ping Su of the School of Foreign Languages, included one undergraduate student and two PhD candidates in the second and third years of their four-year doctoral programmes. The delegation is in Antigua and Barbuda for a month-long cultural immersion focused on the study of Caribbean culture.
During the visit, both sides exchanged perspectives on cultural understanding and academic cooperation, underscoring the shared values of education, knowledge exchange, and international collaboration.

Interesting collaboration! Cultural immersion like this can really deepen understanding and foster long-term academic partnerships.
Hope this leads to more exchanges and maybe scholarships for our students to study in China. That would be amazing!
Hope you all enjoy our island and hospitality
The GG makes them look smaller and shorter than they are. The PIC is very funny
Partnerships like these can pave the way for student exchanges, research, and innovation. Exciting development!
