USA hands Antigua Barbuda second loss of XVIII Pan-American Cup

It was the second straight loss recorded for the Antigua and Barbuda Senior Men’s Volleyball team as they fell to the US 3-0 on Wednesday’s action of the XVIII Pan-American Cup at the Fair Dome in Leon, Mexico.

This is the firs time that Antigua and Barbuda is playing in this stage of the competition having been crowned back-to-back champions of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Men’s tournament last year.

USA took early control winning the first set 25-12.

They came back to take the second, 25-11 and then the third, 25-17.

It is USA’s first win of the competition having fallen to Venezuela a day earlier.

Antigua and Barbuda lost to Cuba.

It was the first match of Day 2 action in the tournament.

Antigua and Barbuda will face Venezuela in their final group encounter on Thursday at midday.
