The Ministry of Works is preparing to launch a major road rehabilitation project along All Saints Road, stretching from the Townhouse junction all the way to Falmouth.
The announcement was made by the Minister for Works, Maria Bird Browne, who confirmed to the Cabinet that this is the first of several upgrades set to improve road conditions across the country.
According to the Minister, additional communities earmarked for works include Gunthropes, Carty Hill in Glanvilles, American Road, Bendals, Upper Fort Road, Wireless Road, Paynters, and other nearby areas where longstanding road concerns have been raised.
Each project, she said, is part of a coordinated effort to address the nation’s most heavily used and deteriorated routes, with particular attention being paid to residential zones and busy commercial areas.
Alongside these works, the Ministry of Works is also collaborating with APUA to continue improving street lighting across the island. The programme will prioritize lighting around schools, recreational spaces, and other critical facilities, ensuring safer access for students and the wider public.
The Minister emphasized that these developments demonstrate the government’s ongoing commitment to upgrading national infrastructure, enhancing road safety, and improving the daily lives of citizens.

Bout time we get a better All Saints Road
All Saints road was waiting for this! Let’s see this as soon as possible. And what’s the detour plans for this
Please don’t forget the back road that connects Bendals and John Hughes/ Soccolts. It drops you out right at the Moravian church in Soccolts. The bushes need to be cut back there too. Thank you and keep up the good work Madam Minister and company.
Finally! Much-needed upgrades for All Saints and surrounding areas. Smooth roads will make life so much easier for drivers and residents.
Thank you Jesus. You have heard our prayers. All Saints Road is one of the most traversed roadways and yet it’s probably the worst.
This would definitely improve traffic congestion and the comfort of driving
