Kahleel Simon
Police in Antigua and Barbuda are continuing their investigation into the death of 18-year-old Kahleel Simon of Bolans, who was fatally shot during a police incident on Wednesday, 27 August.
The case is being treated as a Coroner’s Case, and a Coroner’s Inquest is expected to take place as part of the ongoing proceedings.
Acting Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers extended his deepest condolences to Simon’s family and loved ones, assuring both the family and the Bolans community that the investigation will be thorough, transparent, and comprehensive.

They pledged transparency in Chantel’s case as well. Okay we are going to say because the two cases are different?
We pray and home for transparency. As a bolans resident I’ve heard the story and it all that was said is true then tsk tsk tsk
So basically it will go nowhere. JunJun was also killed by police on his birthday a few weeks ago and we ain’t heard anything since. Seems like local police turn judge and executioner.
Justice for Mannie James. Justice for Bruce Greenaway. All of them were killed by stinking cops. We hate police. Wicked bunch of criminals in suits.
The family will get the generic rhetoric from police. Body turn over for burial after they delay as much as possible and then…radio silence.
We all know police are not heldaccountable for officer involved shootings. Let’s move on as we always do after the initial shock and hue and cry.
Nobody cares until it reaches their own. Love you forever my love. Still so heartbroken💔
The POLICE ADMINISTRATION MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for THIS Shooting DEATH ….. PLUS The OTHERS that Occurred Before THIS ONE ….
……. If Not the Administration of the Police Force, nor the Officer who did the SHOOTING, then DEFINITELY The Trainer who Trained THIS Officer in the Proper use of Firearms…… And Do Not DARE to tell me that THIS Police Officer doing THIS Shooting was NOT TRAINED …….
…… If THIS is the Case …….that This Police Officer WAS NOT TRAINED to use A Firearm…… then We (The Citizens in 🇦🇬) are THE WORST OFF ….. Sitting Ducks …..
…… Now Go ahead Journalists and REMOVE my Comment as you are accustomed to do!!
May Our Dear Lord have MERCY on ALL of Us …….
Kahleel Simon didn’t get a chance to live his life, and now the same system that killed him is asking for cooperation. There is no trust here. There is no justice yet. Only anger and fear.”
Listen. If anyone knows how upset I am. Bolans people need to come out against that . This was not necessary. Setabloodclat nonesende cops be doing young people. We have to stand up. Can’t another yuteman life go down just likadat
This happened since Wednesday and now the police decided to address the public. This is not professionalism. All these commissioners are all yes man to the politicians.
Rest in peace Kahleel. We’re watching closely for transparency and justice
Observing with one eye open. Don’t have much to say. Just looking on
How is this even acceptable? A young man dies in your custody, and the first step is to ask the public for information? Step one should have been responsibility, not PR. The community sees through this, and we’re furious
Unbelievable! You kill an 18-year-old man on his birthday, and now you’re asking the public for help to ‘solve the case’? Fhackkk off! Kahleel Simon is dead, his family is grieving, and the community is traumatized and you expect people to cooperate like nothing happened? This isn’t just a mistake; it’s reckless, violent, and inexcusable. There needs to be accountability, not press releases and condolences. How many more young lives have to be destroyed before the police start taking responsibility for their actions
Has the Officer been removed from active duty, questioned or detained? Is his story consistent with the reality? Mr Commissioner, transparency starts with naming the Officer involve.
The chief of police is an Antiguan now, plus he is a Christian and a preacher, get to the bottom of this, suspend until full investigation and come on radio and address the public and give condolences to family and Boland ppl nonsense chief.
