APUA to Carry Out Urgent Water Main Repairs Along Old Parham Road Road This Weekend

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit has announced urgent repairs to two ruptured mainlines along Old Parham Road this afternoon. The work is being carried out near Matthews ‘Stanley’ Auto Repairs and Hadeed Motors.

The repairs will affect water supply in several communities, including Cassada Gardens, Skerritts Pasture, Sutherlands, Carnival Gardens, Upper Gambles, Campsite, Clare Hall, Wireless Road, and surrounding areas. Key roads, including parts of Old Parham Road, Sir Sydney Walling Highway, and Friars Hill Road, may also experience temporary closures and diversions.

APUA is urging motorists to exercise caution when traveling through the affected areas and to follow signage and traffic guidance.

The utility has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their patience as crews work to restore normal service.
