Temporary Road Closure on Jabberwock Road for Water Infrastructure Upgrade

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit advises the general public that installation of new 14-inch transmission lines will take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025.

As a result, a section of Jabberwock Road, through Judges Estate and New Winthorpes, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This project forms part of the connection works to the new 2 MIG Reverse Osmosis Plant at Shell Beach, designed to strengthen the water system and provide more reliable delivery to communities across the northern corridor.

Motorists and other road users are kindly asked to be mindful of the working zones and exercise caution when traversing the area.

APUA regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and cooperation as we continue to enhance the national water distribution network.
