Life in Antigua was supposed to offer a fresh start for 25-year-old Crizzel Alexandra Mateo Javier.
She left the Dominican Republic with her young son just a year ago, hoping to create a safer and more stable future. But instead of security, she now finds herself living in constant fear—haunted by a brutal attack that nearly cost her life.

How these young beautiful women end up with these kinds of men? So many women are being abused. They dont love the quiet well dressed men…they love those with tattoos and big chains who sell drugs. Im not rejoicing. Im just speaking factually
Sir, every pot has its cover. If a woman doesn’t want you that doesn’t mean who she wants is the big chain, tattooed hoodlum. And not every man that abuses a woman is a big chain, tattooed hoodlum either. Most of the psychotic ones are well dressed, quiet, educated monsters. A woman dating a man right now is like playing Russian roulette with her life. You don’t know which chamber the bullet is in until you pull the trigger. By then it may be too late.
Even if its sad to say antigua is not a place where can secure a person or help a person going thri domestic abuse …more times u go to the station and they laugh or make mockery of your situation ….then theres no safe house to place an indivisual whos going thru it …..i dont evwn know what else to say this is sad

He’s mad that she did not want to receive gifts? That’s a controlling and abusive man! If he’s demanding such a thing imagine what he would do to her. He could’ve ended her life right there!

Seems to me the police need sensitivity training and reprimands!!! I can’t believe how callus they are in light of everything that has happened to this young lady. That’s attempted murder and yet they have not taken it seriously. It makes me wonder if these police officers are spousal abusers themselves. It’s a woman that birth you so do right by us please and thank you.
