The Coolidge Fire Station claimed the top honors on Monday afternoon in the 2025 edition of the Malcolm Nicholas Cup.

The competition, which was introduced in the early 1970s, gave firemen and women from stations across the island the chance to showcase their firefighting skills in the fastest possible time.

It is one of the staple events for Police Week over the years with dozens of patrons flocking the city streets to watch.

The team which was sponsored by Masa Assist, Kayinks Print Shop and AS Bryden and Sons, defeated all other stations- including Johnsons, All Saints and Barbuda – to raise the coveted trophy for the second year in a row.

Dozens of patrons flocked to High Street to witness the action.

This year’s Police Week is under the theme ‘Rising to New Challenges and Serving with Greater Dedication’.
