Police Investigating Arson at Lightfoot West Home

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is probing an arson incident at Lightfoot West after a storage shed was deliberately set on fire in the early hours of Friday, September 5, 2025.

Homeowner Troy Duncan, who contacted police around 3:27 a.m., reported that an unknown individual ignited the structure, destroying several items inside.

Investigators said the blaze consumed four chairs, a gray toolbox filled with pipe fittings, a box containing a red jackhammer valued at US $300, a battery charger and battery set worth US $189, two electrical outlets valued at EC $150, and a car cover.

According to police, evidence at the scene suggested an accelerant was used to start the fire. Police also noted that pieces of lumber at the northern section of the yard appeared to have been lit as part of the attack.

The Fire and Emergency Rescue Unit processed the scene, while several individuals in the area were interviewed. However, police said no useful information has been obtained so far.

The investigation remains ongoing.
