  3. Mr Simon this is very inspiring. It can’t be easy to go back to school after you’ve started your full-time adult life. Increasing your capacity for the sake of serving people; very commendable sir.

  10. This is good!

It will demonstrate to the younger generation that education is a life long pursuit.

And it’s not hard to develop the discipline to study and excel as mature students bring a wealth of experience that really makes the course more interesting as you see the theory in practice, and the student in turn gets to formalise practices learnt at work.

I did a masters in my late 30’s, and made sure I attended all the classes, lived in the library, submitted my assignments on time and read for the exams.

I am certain that Shugy will excel, and he is fortunate to be able to attend UWI in Antigua.

I have always thought, that the citizens of islands where UWI is located, are normally well educated as they take advantage of the close proximity of the school, and the only fees are the course itself. No flights, living in cold countries, having to share homes etc like international students who are generally debt laden by the time they graduate.

Let’s keep Shugy in our prayers.
