It was another successful staging of the Cruise Connect Conference at the Royalton Resort.
The initiative is the brainchild of the Antigua Cruise Ports and was held on Tuesday where stakeholders, both regional and local, within the cruise sector gathered to map the way forward for the upcoming season and for the continued growth of the industry.

Some of the areas addressed were the growing number of visitors and how the country would navigate this increased volume, especially where transportation and traffic was concerned in lower St. Johns.
According to cruise officials, there is expected to be a record number of arrivals.

The figures presently stand to show that the country could reach up to a million passengers.

With this amount, it is imperative that officials manage the daily operations at Heritage Quay and surrounding areas.
In recent times, complaints have been made about the traffic surrounding the quay.

The continued partnership of public and private companies was also discussed.
It is the second edition of the conference which was held under the theme ‘Navigating Success through Cruise Tourism’.
