MP Maria Bird Browne gets blood sugar level tested at weekend Health and Food Fair
Member of Parliament for St. John’s Rural East Maria Bird Browne is hailing the Health Fair & Breakfast, held at the Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS), over the weekend a tremendous success, drawing residents who took the opportunity to prioritize their health and wellness.
Community members turned out in numbers to access free health checks, screenings, and advice from a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
MP Browne expressed heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff whose commitment and compassion made the event possible.
“Special thanks were also extended to CHSS for providing the venue and to the Branch Executive, Members, and Youth Group, whose teamwork and energy powered the event from start to finish”, MP Maria Bird Browne wrote on her social media page.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, according to her, with many praising the initiative for promoting preventative care and community spirit.
One organizer, who also took the opportunity to get a few tests done, encouraged residents to follow up with their healthcare providers and stay proactive about their health.
The health fair underscored the importance of regular checkups while showcasing the strength of community partnerships in advancing public health.

This is the kind of grassroots outreach that truly benefits residents. Congratulations to St. John’s Rural East for setting the standard.
Healthier like these saves lives by catching issues early big thank you to all the nurses and volunteers who gave their time
The optometrist was just looking new patients, hardly examined the eye didn’t bring prescription book gave his card to come to his office for further examination and prescription for $350.00 the sun was so hot it was a waste of time, doctor if you did the right thing you would have had patients for years to come we would have taken into consideration your charitable contributions and you gave back to the community no more health fair for me smh
I love those sorts of initiatives
