Richard Lewis

A murder case against Richard Lewis, a resident of Willikies, was officially dismissed yesterday after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) entered a nolle prosequi, effectively quashing all charges against him.

Lewis had been accused of fatally stabbing 39-year-old Jace Merrick, also from Willikies, during an altercation that occurred on December 29, 2021. The incident had resulted in murder charges being filed against Lewis.

However, following the DPP’s decision to discontinue the prosecution, Lewis was released from custody and is now free.
