Traffic along Sir Sydney Walling Highway slowed to a crawl Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle collision near the Factory Cricket Field left two people nursing minor injuries.

The accident, which occurred during the early rush hour, involved a male and a female motorist. Emergency Medical Services were quickly on the scene and transported both drivers to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center. Doctors have since confirmed that their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The crash forced police to divert traffic through the Gunthorpes community, causing delays for commuters heading into the city.

Investigators have not yet released details on what may have caused the collision, but officers are urging drivers to exercise caution along the busy highway, particularly during peak hours.

  8. Glad to hear both drivers are okay, but we need more traffic patrols during rush hour

    • Speed bumps, traffic patrol, cops, soldiers security. No one stop people from doing what they want. We have so many Police station and police officers in the country and the rise of crime is much more than the count of the security personels….. Penalty have been handed down. Time has been spent, fine has been paid, but yet still people remain who they are and decide their mind to do what they want….. But however, you choose to live your life. Remember what you do can well affect one of your loved ones, so be careful and be cautious the world is a cycle So do the good things as a motorist to another motorist, as you would want them to do 2, and for you.

  9. Every time there’s an accident on that highway, the whole city comes to a standstill

  10. Wishing both drivers a speedy recovery
