Several vehicle registration plates were seized during a police search in Clare Hall on Sunday morning, as investigators continue probing suspected criminal activity.
The operation, carried out around 7:20 a.m., also turned up a Samsung tablet. Both items were confiscated for further examination.
One man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken into custody at the St. John’s Police Station.
Police confirmed that senior officers have been briefed, and the investigation remains active.

Vehicle plates? That sound like they up to big tings… hope they dig deeper
Damn thief and criminal. Stealing people number plate so they can go and commit crime and just in case they happen to be seen, people will report oh is so and so number plate leading the police to your door. Boy one day all thief have to pay
Tablet and plates? Something fishy going on there, must be connected to robbery cases.
Tablets to pause solar cameras and then proceed with stealing. 1 day, they will rob the wrong 1. 1 day, they will assault the wrong 1, 1 day they will wish they had 1 more day!
Im very concerned that these people have fake number plates. How many number plates were found anyway? The story is very concerning
Happy to see the operation bearing fruit, but we need more patrols in the community.
Waw so many vehicles involved in criminal activties with wrong plates
