PM Browne Fulfills Commitment to Bethesda Sports Club

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has delivered on a pledge to the Bethesda Sports Club with the donation of a driver-operated lawn mower, providing much-needed support for the upkeep of the village playing field.

The equipment was officially handed over this month by Lynnette Thwaites, Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Prime Minister and a Bethesda native, who presented it on his behalf.

The promise was made earlier this year during a town-hall meeting in Bethesda, when club president Anthony “IRoots” Martin raised concerns about the challenges of maintaining the field. The Prime Minister responded by committing to provide the mower.

Club officials Martin, Vice President Dale Lawrence, Coach Howard Warner, and Groundsman Kenneth Charles accepted the mower and expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that it will greatly improve the condition of the facility for both players and the wider community.

The Bethesda Sports Club plays an important role in nurturing young talent and promoting community sports, and members say the new equipment will help them continue this work more effectively.
