  1. Excellent reporting Shermain and Antigua.News

Not that the Church Elders explain the purpose of the statue, I don’t have a problem with it.

    • Ok,so exactly what scripture supports this thing? The closest scripture of course, would be the one from Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and it resulted in a king crawling on the ground like an animal because he thought too highly of himself. You can’t mix a Babylonian entity with Christianity. How is a monstrous image derived from Israel in captivity supposed to precipitate thoughts of God? Madness. Just sheer madness.

  3. This statue is more than stone and structure, it’s a reminder that God is still calling His people. In a time when so many are distracted by the world, a visible symbol of faith can stir hearts and bring souls back to Christ. May it stand as a beacon of hope and salvation for Antigua & Barbuda.

  11. It’s striking, yes, but I’m not sure this is the best way to reach people about faith. Actions often speak louder than monuments

  15. I’m no biblical scholar but it remind me of how the people built a statue while waiting for Moses. Build no statues of any likeness of anything on the earth or in the waters.
