Government Warns Public of Fraudulent Website Impersonating Official Platform

The Ministry of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs), Utilities, and Energy has issued an urgent warning about a fraudulent website falsely claiming to be an official platform for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

In a statement released Wednesday, the Ministry identified the site ecitizen.ag as unauthorized and not affiliated with the government in any capacity.

The Ministry announced that investigations into the matter are currently underway and urged citizens to exercise caution when providing personal information online.

“The safety of our citizens and the integrity of our official communications are of utmost importance,” the Ministry stated.

The public has been advised to refer only to the government’s official website and authorized channels for accurate information and updates regarding government services.

Citizens with concerns or inquiries about the fraudulent site are encouraged to contact the Ministry directly at the Coolidge Business Complex on Sir George Walter Highway.

The warning comes as part of ongoing efforts to protect citizens from online fraud and ensure the security of official government communications.
