Regulations of prices for goods and services, dog registration and control and the disabilities and equal opportunities bill are just a few of the proposals that will go before Parliament next week.
The next sitting of the Lower House is scheduled for Tuesday October 14.
“Also, the electronic evidence amendment bill which is essential at this time in addressing the crime in Antigua and Barbuda. There is also the advanced passenger information and passenger name record bill in relation to travel. The Eastern Caribbean citizenship by investment regulatory authority agreement bill and also fatal accidents bill, those are some of the items that are going to be addressed when Parliament meets next week Tuesday,” Merchant added.
It remains uncertain what specific elements will be included in the dog registration and control bill; however, it would be encouraging news for citizens if a more comprehensive approach to addressing the issue of stray dogs is incorporated.
Just a few days ago, a young lady was attacked by several dogs while visiting a home in Skerritt’s Pasture, prompting a nationwide discussion on the legislation associated with these types of incident.





Still, it’s good to know Parliament is active. Progress starts with discussion let’s keep pushing for accountability.
