A young mother is left heartbroken after thieves broke into her car early Monday morning outside the Little Canton Supermarket, making off with her purse and a bag in which she was traveling with that contained her life savings, important documents, and sentimental items.
The incident reportedly occurred sometime around 3:30 a.m., when the victim, who had parked near the establishment, discovered that her vehicle had been broken into and her belongings stolen.
Among the items taken was a red purse containing cash, identification cards, bank cards, a driver’s license, social security and medical cards, and a Jamaican bank card. The woman also lost several personal items, including IDs belonging to her late grandfather, mementos she said held deep sentimental value.

“All my savings for me and my kid gone,” she lamented. “I’ve worked so hard there was so many cars parked there, Why mine?”
The theft has left her both emotionally and financially shaken, as she now faces the challenge of replacing her vital documents and recovering from the financial setback.
Community members have since expressed sympathy and outrage on social media, with many calling for increased security and surveillance in frequently visited areas around the city.

3:30a.m??? A young mother??? Parked outside a closed establishment??? Left purse inside car??? Purse contained her life savings???? Hmmmm🤔🤔🤔
lol Was she living in her car. Asking for a friend.
Was wondering the same thing. Wouldn’t your savings have been safer at home or was she playing her trade in the area? Sorry for your loss
At 3:30am in the morning, what at all those valuable doing in a car at that time in the morning, important things I leave at home not in my car, this is a little funny to me. But sorry for her.
I feel bad for anyone affected by theft, but this account raises questions. Cash, multiple IDs, sentimental items all left in a car at 3:30 a.m.? Hmm…
First off, 3:30 a.m. outside a supermarket is an odd time for anyone to be parked there, unless she works late or was meeting someone. Most businesses, including Little Canton, would’ve been closed at that hour. That immediately raises questions: why was she there so early, and how did thieves know she had her “life savings” in the car?
Second, leaving a purse with large sums of cash and key documents in a parked vehicle is highly unusual….especially in today’s climate where everyone knows thefts are common. People online are understandably wondering whether the story is the full truth or if there’s more behind it. Girl something wrong with that story
Leaving her purse in her car isn’t the problem. The problem we are having are people who doesn’t know how to keep their hands to themselves and leave peoples properties alone. How you mean to tell me that you just break into someone’s care and take their belongings? So people can’t live life the way they want anymore? People coming down on the young lady but not on the way this country is plunging into a shii hole. We need to rethink on the matters presented before us
She’s careless if you ask me. Why would you leave all your valuables inside your car though?
What I want to know is how that bag held her life savings and if the banks were rejecting her. Only in Montserrat you can leave your bags and life savings and come back and find them.
Something about this story feels off. If other cars were parked there, why was only hers broken into?
It’s possible she’s telling the truth, but the details are strange. I really hope the police check the CCTV footage
A whole heap a tings happenin’ now, tiefin’ getting bold. Next dem ah go tief car wid people inside!”
Lord have mercy, poor young woman. She work hard and dem wicked people just tek everything. Hope dem ketch dem soon
Me sorry fe she, but who does lef’ dem whole life inna a bag? Antigua get too rough, you haffi move smart nowaday
If she know she had dem kinda money and documents, why park so late night inna dark place? Smh
Police need check de cameras quick-quick. Little Canton must have footage. This sound like a set-up
