Three Arrested on Suspicion of Breaking and Larceny in Potters

Three men are now in police custody following a breaking and larceny incident in Potters Village on Monday evening.

According to a statement from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, officers from the Special Services Unit (SSU) and the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force (CIDTF) responded around 6:16 p.m. after receiving a report that two men were seen removing items from a home and loading them into a vehicle.

The officers later intercepted the vehicle along Valley Road, near the Golden Grove Primary School.

A search uncovered several suspicious items, including a bolt cutter, a bunch of keys, and various tools believed to have been used in the offence. Both the items and the vehicle were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police subsequently executed search warrants at properties in Potters Village and Hatton, where additional suspected stolen goods were recovered.

The three suspects were taken into custody at the St. John’s Police Station, where investigations continue.

Authorities say charges will be laid once the inquiry is complete.
