VIDEO: Woman Thinks Car Break-In Was Targeted

A woman who fell victim to a car break-in outside the Little Canton Supermarket on Independence Avenue believes she was deliberately targeted after reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.

The break-in, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. Monday, left the woman devastated as thieves made off with her red purse and a bag, both containing her life savings, identification documents, and personal items of sentimental value.

The victim revealed that she had been saving diligently for months, putting aside $100 a day with hopes of taking her young daughter to Disney World for her birthday next year.

She said that her savings were not always stored in her car and were sometimes kept at home or on her person, information she said only a few close friends would have known.

Further update from the victim confirmed that her purse and bag that contained her identification documents, and personal items of sentimental value were recovered but the money was not amongst them.

Despite the heartbreak, the woman expressed gratitude that the situation wasn’t worse. However the young victim is left asking one question, “Who sent him?”

  4. Something about this don’t sound random at all. How a thief know exactly which car to break into and what to take? They didn’t touch anything else? Somebody must’ve tip them off.

  5. Too much setup in this country. Everybody smiling in your face but watching what you have. I hope she still get justice, because whoever did that knew exactly what they were looking for.

  6. If she’s saying it was targeted, maybe someone close to her tipped them off. These kinds of crimes often start with information from the inside.

  7. You see why you can’t trust everybody with your personal plans? Even “friends” does talk. That’s why she say only a few people knew. Well one of those few can’t be trusted.

  8. If they return the bag and ID but not the cash, that’s straight inside job. Thief with a conscience or more like thief who trying not to get caught.
