28-Year-Old Merlissa Jhero

The family of 28-year-old Merlissa Jhero of Bendals, who was recently reported missing, has confirmed that she is safe and in good health, bringing an outpouring of relief from loved ones and members of the community who had joined in the search for her.

Jhero has been reported missing after last being seen approximately three weeks ago, sparking widespread concern and prompting multiple community-led search efforts across Bendals and nearby areas.

Police investigations initially revealed that she was last seen on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, though early reports suggested she may have disappeared days earlier.

On Saturday morning, a relative took to social media to share the long-awaited update.

“Merlissa Jhero has reached out confirming she is safe,” the family member wrote. “We appreciate all your support. Thanks for your prayers and all your messages and for going out of your way to help us locate her. I really appreciate yall. We are very grateful that she is safe.”

The family also used the moment to remind others of the distress caused when loved ones go missing, urging anyone who needs time away to inform at least one trusted person.

“If for whatever reason any of y’all decide to go MIA, needing a break etc, please inform at least one person so that your family don’t have to go through any unnecessary worries and stress because it’s not a good feeling.” the post continued.

The family member did not disclose Jhero’s whereabouts during her absence, adding, “ Before y’all ask where she was, I don’t know, i’m just happy that she’s safe.

Police are expected to conduct standard follow-up procedures as part of their investigation. For now, however, the Bendals community is simply grateful that Merlissa Jhero has been found alive and well.

  1. Thanks for the update Antigua.news. I Thank God she was found safe. But is it a case she just wanted space away? I mean, these days these things cannot be done with letting someone close know. The world has everyone living in fear. Two minutes of not seeing your loved one and you would be at the station filing reports

    • This girl may be a victim of kidnapping and is being told what to say, and how to ease her family’s fears. Find her, don’t get taken by her sudden phone call, seeing is believing.

Find this young lady alive while there is still time, time is of the essence, as she may be a victim of some kind of human trafficking/slavery.

      FIND HER!!!

  4. Senseless young people who gets up and walk of without telling anyone. Young people have the thought of no one caring about them but what happens when you disappear in a country that has a history? Let’s think right when it comes to these things. If you feel like the world is on your shoulder seek a councilor or something.
