Ministry of Works to host workshop with contractors

Following the Independence celebrations, the Ministry of Works will be hosting a workshop with building contractors to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry.

The workshop will be held at the John E. St. Luce Conference Centre, and will cover several key areas critical to the construction sector, including contract preparation, construction standards and national building code. It will also cover project management and planning, quality control and best practices, including collaboration with Government agencies plus labour and workforce development.

The sessions will be addressed by senior members of the Cabinet to include Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Sir Molwyn Joseph. It will also explore opportunities for training programs for small contractors and initiatives to improve access to financing for construction projects,” said Cabinet Spokesperson Maurice Merchant.
