Senator Kiz Johnson, Malcom Charles, Lennox Weston and Adrian Richardson
The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) is gearing up for a competitive primary election in the St. Philip’s South constituency, as four contenders prepare to battle for the party’s nomination ahead of the next general election.
Among those vying for the spot is Senator Kiz Johnson, a marketing specialist and university lecturer. Johnson, who has been active in youth and community initiatives, is seen as a rising voice within the Labour movement.
Also returning to the political front is Lennox Weston, the former Member of Parliament for St. Philip’s South and a veteran figure in the ABLP. Weston, who previously served as Minister of Works, is seeking to reclaim the seat he lost in the last general election.
Joining the race are entrepreneurs Adrian Richardson and Malcom Charles, both of whom bring fresh perspectives to the contest.
Richardson is known for his business ventures and community outreach. He is also known for offering scholarships and employment opportunities. Charles has been an advocate for digital innovation and youth engagement.
The ABLP’s internal election is expected to take place on December 04th, 2025, with party delegates from across the constituency set to cast their votes.
Although the next general election is constitutionally due in 2028, speculation continues to mount that Prime Minister Gaston Browne could call elections earlier — heightening the stakes for the upcoming primary.
Party insiders describe the St. Philip’s South race as one to watch, as the outcome could shape the Labour Party’s strategy heading into what many expect to be an increasingly competitive national campaign.

Four candidates? That’s going to be a tight race. Let’s hope the best person for the community wins, not just the most connected.
Weston all the way!
Good for you kizzy. I love this for you
Stay out of this Kizzy! You are too nice for this!
Shouldn’t we allow the best person to win regardless of gender? Just asking for a girlfriend.
How rice pudding Lenox weston end up in that again?
@Alex Maybe you should eat more rice pudding and have less to say! Your posts never make sense!
Kiz for the win
@ juju bee….Thank you for your paid advertisement. Now get serious!
Beautiful lady. Stay out of that profession.
I agree! This is not the time or place!
We need more women in public office. Kiz for the win. 🚩
@ Dave Ray : What do you know about the constituency and what it need! Stay in your lane!
Lennox Weston all the way! A strong outspoken voice!
Weston has my support!
The only one I feel confident with is Weston! The ABLP has many challenges and the party need a pit bull to go.out there and promote the many good policies it has! We are with you Weston!
We need more persons in politics with experience, a track record of service and will support the ABLP.leadership through these difficult times. Lets ne real and admit that the only one who has the strength to do this is Lennox Weston!
Weston go rest you self, and allow Kix her time to shine
The ABLP has a fight on its hands for the next election. Do you seriously think gentle Kizzy ready? She should become Weston’s campaign Manager, work with him and once he is elected under study him. Then when he leaves succeed him and take ovet. That’s what I call political succession planning! The smart approach!
The two candidates for this primary should be Miss Johnson or Lenox Weston. Adrian Richardson is a con man and very dishonest. Ask him about vehicles down at customs.
Gooooo kezzz
Weston is the only choice!
We need Weston and his hard hitting live rounds against the UPP! Let him loose to do his thing!
Weston, Weston, Weston!
Let’s talk about how you watermark your picture @Antigua.news and another outlet take it with said watermark, reminds me of the opposition. Anyway…. Let’s see how the madness goes!!! WESTON WESTON WESTON
