Briana Anthony Commends Government’s Investment in Education, Urges Citizens to Embrace Lifelong Learning

Local media personality and communications professional Briana Anthony is encouraging citizens and residents of Antigua and Barbuda to take full advantage of the Government’s ongoing investment in higher and lifelong education, praising the administration for its commitment to the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus (UWI FIC).

Anthony described the UWI Five Islands Campus as a “life-changing opportunity” that continues to transform lives and strengthen the nation’s human resource capacity.

Having earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UWI FIC just three weeks ago, Anthony celebrated yet another milestone on October 30, graduating from the Lifelong Learning Unit attached to the campus. She received awards in Marketing in a Digital World and Persuasive Communication, demonstrating her continued commitment to professional growth.

In expressing her gratitude, Anthony applauded the government for prioritizing education and making it accessible to all:
“I truly commend the government of Antigua and Barbuda for supporting the UWI Five Islands Campus and giving people the chance to advance through education. Sometimes you don’t have a job, or you may have just left school — but lifelong learning gives you the opportunity to grow, retool, and become more marketable,” she said.

Anthony encouraged citizens and residents to seize the opportunities now available through UWI FIC and the Lifelong Learning Unit:
“Lifelong learning is critical. Whether you’re a school leaver, a working professional, or a degree holder, there’s always room to learn more and do more. Education empowers you and strengthens our nation,” she added.

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s partnership with the University of the West Indies continues to expand access to quality education, ensuring that citizens can pursue their goals and contribute meaningfully to national development
