Syrian National Hospitalised After Stabbing Incident

Police are investigating a stabbing that left a 16-year-old boy injured during the Youth Rally at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Observer, the incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. while the teenager, a resident of Bolans, was attending the rally among hundreds of students and spectators.

The victim told investigators that he was approached by three young men who attacked him with a knife. The assault reportedly unfolded in front of several onlookers before witnesses intervened, forcing the attackers to flee toward the main gate of the stadium.

Emergency medical personnel responded quickly and transported the injured teen to the hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.

Police sources said investigators recovered several items believed to be connected to the incident, including a knife and a pair of sunglasses allegedly left behind by the suspects.

Law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation and are working to identify and locate the three assailants.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) or the nearest police station.
