Minister of Housing and Works, Maria browne
Minister of Housing and Works Maria Browne has joined in extending warm Independence greetings to the people of Antigua and Barbuda as the nation celebrates its 44th anniversary of Independence.
In her message, Browne praised the resilience and progress of the twin-island state, describing the day as a time to reflect on national pride and unity.
“Today we celebrate not only the beauty of our twin-island nation, but the enduring strength and spirit of our people“,” she said. “Forty-four years of progress, resilience, and pride remind us that independence is more than a date; it’s a daily commitment to building a better, more united nation”
Browne encouraged citizens to continue working together through mutual respect and cooperation, noting that true independence lies in the collective effort to build a fair and sustainable future.
“Together through respect, love, and cooperation; we can shape a brighter, fairer, and more sustainable future for generations to come,” she added.
The minister ended her statement with a call for continued solidarity and optimism under the theme “Solid. Stable. Soaring.”
“Happy Independence! Let’s continue to lift each other higher,“” Browne said.
Antigua and Barbuda gained independence from Britain on November 1, 1981, and this year marks 44 years of nationhood, celebrated under themes of unity, pride, and national achievement.

Really?
Happy Independence
Boo hoo. Car money good
Appreciate the kind words and encouragement
I’m curious. Has this lady ever done this before? If not, why now when she and the DAWG are eyeball deep in this vehiclegate scandal? The only thing solid, stable and soaring are them and their cronies pockets.
