Police are investigating a violent altercation between two neighbours in the Jennings Extension community that left one man nursing head injuries.
According to reports, officers from the Bolans Police Station responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, following reports of a disturbance that escalated into a physical confrontation.
When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a heated argument between two neighbouring households had turned violent. During the altercation, one of the individuals was reportedly struck in the head with a cutlass and a hard object.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel transported the injured man to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was treated by medical staff for two bleeding lacerations to both sides of his head.
Doctors later confirmed that his injuries were not life-threatening, but he was kept for observation and additional tests.
Police investigators from the Bolans Station and the Forensic Evidence and Recovery Unit visited the scene, conducted interviews, and retrieved two cutlasses believed to be connected to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement officers continue to gather statements and review evidence surrounding the altercation.
