Police are investigating a string of house break-ins that occurred across several communities between October 30 and November 1, 2025.
According to reports, at least four separate incidents were recorded in areas including New Winthropes, Golden Grove Extension, All Saints, and Cades Bay, with intruders targeting homes and making off with cash, electronics, and personal items.
In New Winthropes, unknown individuals reportedly pried open a northern louver window to gain access to a residence where they allegedly stole electrical items, including an alarm system. The caretaker discovered the break-in and notified authorities.
A similar incident occurred at Golden Grove Extension, where intruders broke into a home by damaging the lower section of a kitchen door and stealing a quantity of clothing and food items. Investigators say the break-in happened sometime between the evening of October 31 and the early hours of November 1.
Meanwhile, in All Saints, police responded to reports of a break-in at a residence where entry was gained by damaging both a shed and a southern wooden door. The house and surrounding area were ransacked, though nothing was reported stolen.
The most significant loss occurred at Cades Bay, where thieves reportedly entered a house through a washroom door and an unlocked bathroom window. They allegedly stole approximately $3,000 in cash and a silver Toyota RAV4 valued at $18,000.

That’s the silver rav4 that was in the shooting? Hmmmm. Just putting clues together cause the police won’t.

The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crimes.
These people are working in a ring. It cannot be isolated
A worrying trend
It’s frightening to think how easy it is for intruders to get into people’s homes. More people need to invest in better locks, alarms, and security cameras
The government has to address this rise in petty crime before it turns into something worse. People are already struggling now they have to fear losing what little they have
