Authorities are currently examining an incident on Lower All Saints Road that resulted in injuries to a police officer and another individual during a confrontation. Around 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a police officer was near Sammy’s Supermarket when he noticed two men engaged in a fight.
The officer intervened, and during the altercation, one of the men allegedly stabbed him on the right side of the face with a broken glass bottle.
In response to the attack, the officer fired his service weapon, striking his assailant. Both men were later transported by ambulance to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where they received treatment for injuries that were assessed as non-life-threatening. The Criminal Investigations Department is actively investigating the matter, and additional updates will be provided as the inquiry continues.

Well done officer. The law should be respected and violent disrespect for the law should be met with necessary force.
Preliminary comment :
If this bootleg of a human wasn’t shot. Today we would be asked to provide information. Let us not forget the potters incident.
Officers should take no chances and show no mercy when met with violent disrespect from the law.
They really need better protective gear and manpower. One officer shouldn’t be out there alone in certain areas.
Sometimes it good to just see people in their fight and move on cause look here now. Did he identify himself as an officer?
Comment *People need to stop attacking law enforcement. The officer was just doing his job glad he’s okay!
It’s sad one moment a fight, next moment gunfire. This society needs more calm, less aggression.
I understand self-defense, but was shooting the only option? We need more training for de-escalation
Are you being frl? Wait did you read the article or comment like a retarded? The officer was stabbed in the face. What should he do to prevent further damage from someone that’s holding a harmful object? Let’s be frl at this point……
Who ask you for your opioid pagan
Opinion*
The officer’s quick response probably prevented more people from being hurt. Respect to him
In this case I can use the minister words and said the police acted right. But I will use under here to scream justice for Khalil
It is not easy being a cop. Sometimes its easier just to be a janitor.
Good that CID is investigating. Let’s get the full facts before jumping to conclusions.
Too much violence all around. There must be better ways to handle fights without it ending in bloodshed
