Newly crowned league champions, Board of Education drew first blood in the best of three Playoff finals at JSC last night.
The Cool and Smooth ABBA Business Basketball League encounter saw Adonis Humphreys lead the charge for the victors with 20 points.
He was assisted by Xavier ‘Xman’ Meade who sank 19 and brothers, Danny and Daniel Perez who made 18 and 10 points respectively.
Richie’s Shooterz Cohen Desouza had a game high 25 points in a losing effort.
Teammate, Nickon McGregor contributed 11.
Game 2 of the finals will shoot off on Saturday at 7:30.
A victory for Board of Education will secure the Playoff title and wrap up a perfect and unbeaten season while a win for Richie’s Shooterz will guarantee a Game 3 which is scheduled for Sunday evening at the same time.
Admission is $10.
