The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s political hopeful for St. Phillip South, Adrian “Action Man” Richardson, hosted his second annual Health Fair on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the St. Phillip’s Village Playing Field, drawing residents from across the constituency for a day focused on wellness, education, and community support.
Richardson said data gathered from community engagements shows that many constituents are struggling with diabetes and mental health challenges—two issues he believes require urgent and sustained attention.

“Diabetes does not have to be a life sentence,” Richardson noted, emphasizing that healthier eating habits and regular exercise can significantly reduce the impact of the disease. He encouraged residents to make small but consistent lifestyle adjustments that can lead to long-term improvement.
Addressing mental health, the “Action Man” highlighted that stress and negative influences often contribute to emotional and psychological strain. He urged residents to prioritize their mental well-being by embracing positivity.
“We need to surround ourselves with people and things that support our growth,” he said, calling for a more mindful approach to emotional health.
The health fair featured a team of medical professionals, including specialists from the American University of Antigua and mental health advocate Ms. Chaniell Imhoff. The team offered expertise across key areas such as mental health, nutrition, and general wellness, providing screenings, consultations, and educational resources.

Richardson, who has been vocal about his commitment to promoting healthier and more positive lifestyles within the constituency, said his initiative is rooted in both community service and his strong spiritual foundation.
Residents expressed appreciation for the event, which continues to grow as an annual platform for health awareness and early intervention in St. Phillip South.
