Police Charge Gambles Man with Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammo

Police charge Sedeki Andre with multiple firearm-related offences

Police have apprehended and charged 28-year-old Sedeki Akelo Andre from Gambles with several firearm-related offenses. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 16, Narcotics Officers were conducting an operation on Perry Bay Main Road when they observed Andre and performed a search.

During the search, he was found in possession of a Taurus 9mm pistol along with seven matching rounds of ammunition. He was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Andre is scheduled to appear in court to address the charges. The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is committed to combating illegal firearms and ammunition as part of its comprehensive crime-fighting strategy.

Members of the public are encouraged to reach out to the police with any information concerning illegal weapons or suspicious activities.
