
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, through the Department of Creative Industries, is reminding the public that registration is still open for the much-anticipated Christmas Home and Business Lighting Competition 2025.
The annual competition celebrates the festive season by showcasing dazzling, creative lighting displays across the island.
Homeowners and business owners are encouraged to register by Wednesday, December 17, 2025, to secure their place in this year’s showcase.
Registration forms are available Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at two convenient locations:
• The Department of Creative Industries Headquarters, Old Parham Road (upstairs INET)
• The National Festivals Office, 1st Floor, Cecil George-John Building, Redcliffe Street and Corn Alley
Judging Schedule
• Pre-Judging: December 20–21, 2025
• Final Judging: December 28, 2025
• Winners Announced: Friday, January 5, 2026, on Good Morning Antigua, Barbuda
Categories & Incentives
Home entries will be judged by zone—East, West, North, and South—and participants will receive:
• 100% electricity waiver from December 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026
• Duty-free concessions on Christmas lights and decorations
• Cash prizes for the top three winners in each zone:
o 1st Place: $3,000
o 2nd Place: $2,000
o 3rd Place: $1,000
Businesses will benefit from:
• 50% electricity waiver for December 2025
• Duty-free concessions on lights and decorations
• Cash prizes for the top three winners:
