More Than 1,000 Homes Built Since 2014; New Condo Developments on the Way

Housing development remains a major priority, with more than 1,000 homes constructed since 2014.

The Throne Speech confirmed that the Booby Alley redevelopment will soon deliver 200 condominium-style units, while Bolans and Barbuda will each receive 50 new condos.

Government also pointed to programs supporting the vulnerable, including:

  • Monthly food vouchers
  • PDV-Caribe electricity vouchers
  • Social Security stipends
  • The HAPI program, which uses inmates to build emergency housing

The Housing Minister was praised for demonstrating “a heart and caring spirit” in delivering social support initiatives
