Police are investigating a dramatic traffic crash in Golden Grove after, according to state media, a 16-year-old boy allegedly “borrowed” his mother’s car without permission, lost control, and slammed into a tree in a violent after-sunset collision.
The incident reportedly unfolded just after 6 p.m. Friday, sending shockwaves through the normally quiet community.
Another 16-year-old male who was inside the vehicle was also injured and is currently receiving medical attention.
In a twist that has stunned many, state media reports that two young females were also in the car but bolted from the scene on foot moments after the impact, leaving the two injured boys behind in the wreckage.
While the full condition of the teens has not yet been confirmed, ABS News reported that the teenage driver appears to have suffered the more severe injuries of the pair.

Children can cause their parents heartache. And they even had woman with them . SMDH
I’m tired of seeing stories like this. Sixteen-year-olds behaving like grown criminals on the road. This was pure stupidity, not an accident
Running from the scene after a crash shows exactly how immature and reckless they were. If you’re bold enough to joyride, be bold enough to face the consequences
Sixteen years old and already endangering lives like this? This could have easily been a fatal situation. They had no business behind the wheel.
hese children are out of control. Taking a parent’s car without permission and joyriding with friends is beyond irresponsible. They’re lucky to be alive
Young stupid children
“Heartbreaking situation. Two young lives already traumatized—let’s hope this sparks some real conversations about accountability and supervision.
I hope this is a wake-up call for them. Actions have consequences, and this situation could have been far worse
