ACB Begins Smart ATM Rollout

ACB Caribbean has announced the deployment of new Smart ATMs across its network, a significant step toward resolving the persistent ATM service issues that have frustrated customers for months.

The bank confirmed that the new machines are now operational at three locations: VillageWalk, Market Street, and Thames Street. During this initial trial period, the Smart ATMs will accept only ACB Caribbean Cards and offer limited services—balance inquiries and cash withdrawals only.

The deployment comes after an extended period during which numerous ACB ATMs across the region have been out of service or experiencing technical difficulties, leaving many customers unable to access their funds conveniently. The bank had previously committed to addressing these issues by the end of November.

ACB Caribbean has outlined an aggressive timeline for expanding the Smart ATM network. By December 2nd, 2025, three additional locations are scheduled to come online:

Barbuda

Epicurean

High Street (Financial Centre)

Customers should note that during this trial phase, the new ATMs will have restricted capabilities. Deposits, transfers, and other advanced transactions are not yet available. Additionally, only ACB Caribbean-issued cards will be accepted at these machines during the testing period.

The bank thanked customers for their patience throughout the transition and promised to provide updates as additional services and locations become available.

  1. At least you are trying to assist your customers. But St. John’s cooperative credit union care nothing about their customers. The work week end on Friday and on Friday afternoon after bank is closed right into Monday morning you cannot access your own monies, and when you call, you have to waste your credit and go through a long drawn out process that is not beneficial to you as the customer. And the worst part is, this is not a one time or 2 times thing. This is a every week thing for over a year now.
