Hope and Gratitude: Rudisha Prevost Praises Public Support as She Prepares for Overseas Treatment

Rudisha Jean-Pierre Prevost is expressing gratitude to residents both here and abroad for their overwhelming support.

The 29-year-old mother of two continues to battle an aggressive form of breast cancer and is currently receiving treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

Prevost, in a message to Antigua.news says residents continue to pour out support, through sharing content, liking, commenting, offering prayers, or donating blood.

“Your kindness and encouragement are immensely valued and do not go unnoticed”, she said.

Meanwhile, the SLBMC has advised Rudisha that the blood quota has been met.

Although their journey continues, Rudisha and her family remain hopeful, trusting that this aggressive form of cancer can be stabilized and put into remission.

Rudisha frequently emphasizes the significance of overcoming this challenge so she can be present for her two young sons, Hezekiah and Gianni Prevost.

She has the full backing of her husband, family, church community, and well-wishers.
In addition, despite recent scans indicating metastases to her liver, she is currently undergoing a new treatment at SLBMC, financed by the Medical Benefit Scheme.

While her immediate medical expenses are being managed, many individuals have reached out, eager to assist in any manner possible.

Those who are moved to contribute are encouraged to do so via the Go Fund Me account, which will support Rudisha’s accommodation and needs in Columbia, where she is scheduled to commence radiation therapy, though the exact date remains to be confirmed.
