Police have taken a Swetes man into custody following a break-in at the Oriental Choice Supermarket on Lower All Saints Road late Saturday night.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on December 7, officers responded to a report of a building breaking in progress after the supermarket’s security alarm was triggered. When police arrived, they found the suspect, Koeci Francis, inside the establishment with a bag containing groceries, a cellphone, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The items were seized, and Francis was arrested and transported to the St. John’s Police Station as investigations continue.
The Police Administration is reminding members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Persons may contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
