Minister of Agriculture and MP for All Saints West, Anthony Smith Jr., is mourning the loss of his grandmother, Genevieve “Teacher Gen” Smith, one of Antigua and Barbuda’s most respected and beloved educators.
In a touching message shared on Facebook, Minister Smith reflected on the profound impact his grandmother had on his life and the wider community. “My dear Granny, words can’t express what you meant to me, to our family, to your community, and to so many lives across Antigua and Barbuda,” he wrote. “You lived your life loving, teaching and helping others. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support from everyone during this time. Sleep in eternal peace, Teacher Genevieve Smith. You will always be in our hearts.”
