Diversion Plan on Valley Road for works at the Jennings Clinic

Motorists using Valley Road North (VRN) are being advised to expect delays on Sunday, December 14, 2025, due to a partial road closure near the Jennings Clinic.

According to a notice issued to stakeholders, the closure will affect a section of Valley Road North as roadworks are carried out under the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project. While authorities say every effort will be made to maintain single-lane traffic through the area, drivers are being encouraged to follow designated diversion routes to avoid congestion.

For southbound traffic travelling beyond the Jennings Clinic, motorists are advised to turn right onto Monterey Road and follow posted diversion signs to bypass the work area before rejoining Valley Road North. Northbound drivers heading past the clinic are instructed to turn left at the junction leading to the Jolly Harbour back entrance and follow diversion signs to regain access to VRN.

Officials have emphasized that all businesses in the area will remain open during the roadworks, despite the temporary disruption.

C.O. Williams, the contractor overseeing the project, has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and is urging the public to make adjustments to their travel plans to allow extra time for delays.

Residents and motorists seeking further information can contact the C.O. Williams Project Office at 562-9573.
