Elderly woman robbed at local minimart

A shocking robbery unfolded outside Foodland Mini Mart on DeSouza Road when a woman was targeted and had a chain violently snatched from her neck.

According to reports, the suspect struck quickly before fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle. In a dramatic twist, the vehicle reportedly left behind its number plate, bearing the registration R4727.

The woman was not physically injured.

Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information about the suspect or the vehicle to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or Crimestoppers.

  8. This guy was by Tiny on Anchorage Rd. last night. He was in and out of the shadows, he thought I was focused on my phone and started suddenly moving towards me. I raised my head a little too early and that is why one of is is not hospitalised.
    Someone has to teach them.
