Local cricketers chosen for Youth World Cup
Antigua and Barbuda will be represented on the world stage as four cricketers were selected in the West Indies Under-19 squad that will contest the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The Antiguan players selected are Jewel Andrew, Tanez Francis, Micah McKenzie and Matthew Miller.
The tournament will be played in Namibia and Zimbabwe from January 15 to February 6, 2026, with West Indies drawn in Group D alongside South Africa, Afghanistan and Tanzania.
All group matches will be contested in Windhoek, Namibia, following warm-up fixtures against Ireland and Japan.
CWI described the squad as the result of a deliberate, performance-based selection process aimed at preparing players for the demands of senior international cricket.
The inclusion of four Antiguans underscores Antigua and Barbuda’s continued contribution to the development and future of West Indies cricket at the international level.

Hurray Joel, just continue to be humble and continue to train hard. Do what you need to do below the radar. Continue to be generous to the less fortunate. More blessings will come.
