PLH to construct more than 5 miles of road on Barbuda says Maurice Merchant
As PLH continues their development project on the sister isle, the group has shared several proposals one of which is the construction of a road corridor linking Codrington, the Barbuda Airport, Port, River Dock and Palmetto with a number of features.
“So, this will amount to about 5.4 miles of road, two lane carriageways with associated drainage and roundabouts,” Cabinet Spokesperson Maurice Merchant said.
The estimated construction time once approved will be about 18 months and is estimated to cost about US$12 million. The proposed financing model involves zero interest and an affiliate of PLH will fund this program.
“No final decision was made on that proposal at Cabinet and as a matter of fact Mr. Wilshaw will reappear before the Cabinet with additional information on these proposals in the new year during Cabinet meeting. No final decision as I mentioned,” Merchant added.

Continuing to make Barbuda a little paradise. Good work PLH
