Several police officers were forced to momentarily divert their attention from an early-morning route march on Saturday after a motorist collided with a parked police service motorcycle on Independence Avenue.

The incident occurred while officers were deployed across various areas of St John’s as part of the scheduled march. The police motorcycle, which was unoccupied at the time of the collision, sustained damage.

According to police sources, the motorist was not injured, and no officers were harmed in the incident. Officers at the scene responded swiftly to secure the area and address the situation, allowing the route march to resume shortly afterward with minimal disruption.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated by the police. No further details were immediately available.
