One Nation Caribbean Music Festival Poised for International Growth
Creative Industries Minister Daryll Matthew believes the One Nation Caribbean Music Festival is well on its way to becoming an international cultural event, as the festival continues to grow beyond its original format.
In an interview with ABS News, Minister Matthew said One Nation has evolved into a recognizable brand in Antigua and Barbuda and is now entering a phase of natural expansion.
“One Nation is now a brand in Antigua and Barbuda,” the minister said. “It is just going through the natural, organic root of transitioning into becoming a bigger festival. The Prime Minister had a vision, and One Nation is in the perfect position to do so.”
According to the minister, future plans could see the festival expanded into a week-long event, incorporating masterclasses and workshops hosted by local producers and artistes. He said this would not only enhance the festival experience but also contribute to skills development within the local creative sector.
The One Nation Caribbean Music Festival is scheduled for this weekend at the Antigua Recreation Ground. What began as a one-night concert has steadily grown into a two-night festival, reflecting increasing public interest and regional support.
At its core, the event promotes Caribbean unity through music, guided by the theme “One people. One love. One Nation.” Minister Matthew said this unifying message has played a key role in the festival’s appeal and its potential to attract international attention.
As anticipation builds ahead of this weekend’s staging, organisers remain optimistic that One Nation will continue to expand, further establishing Antigua and Barbuda as a hub for Caribbean culture and entertainment.

Notice how we give we give so much attention and prominence to worldly things and the things of God we give no importance to..
It can be a great event if the follow the Dominica model of Creole in the Park with the event running from 12 to 8. To me that was bigger than Creole Festival itself
