WATCH: Pure Vibes or Politics? PM Browne’s Moment at One Nation — Let’s Get Your Take

MP Kelvin ‘Shugy’ Simon was critical of PM Gaston Browne’s performance at One Nation

Prime Minister Gaston Browne found himself at the centre of a political and cultural debate over the weekend after making an unexpected appearance on stage at the One Nation concert—complete with a Rasta-style suit and dread hat.

The Prime Minister was called on stage by Jamaican dancehall entertainer Mr Vegas, sending sections of the crowd into excitement, and social media into overdrive.

But not everyone was dancing to the same rhythm.

Opposition Member of Parliament for St Mary’s South, Kelvin Shugy Simon wasted no time in weighing in. He criticised the Prime Minister’s appearance as a political stunt, arguing that a national event meant to unite citizens should not be used—directly or indirectly—for political positioning.

  2. I take it as the honorable prime minister should not have a life outside of politics. And anything he does will be labeled as “PoLiTiCaL”
